Only a few musicians in electronic music can boast the kind of incredible career longevity and ongoing popularity that EDX has.

Almost three decades after launching his career in the mid-nineties, the Swiss-Italian music machine is still as productive in 2022 as he was in 2002, releasing smash record after hit song on a nearly monthly basis.

Following the international success of his latest club track On My Mind on Sirup Music in January – as well as his massive follow-up vocal single Don’t Be Afraid (ft. Allie Crystal) on Spinnin’ Records in FebruaryEDX now delivers his first official remix of the year, reworking Noa Kirel’s sublime 2022 hit, Thought About That.

EDX’s magnificent new ‘Ibiza Sunset‘ remix of Thought About That, out today on Atlantic Records, is yet another brilliant addition to an already stellar catalog from Switzerland’s most-streamed artist of all time. The remix, which expertly complements Kirel’s stunning top lines with his whimsical synth patterns and distinctive flair, oozes EDX’s inimitable style and production attributes from the start, as he masterfully merges old school synths with shuffling rhythms. As the Swiss house maestro produces a glistening club-ready remix for one of this year’s biggest singles so far, transcendent breaks and exuberant drops lend more contrast to the Israeli pop sensation’s soaring vocals.

Whether I’m making an EDX vocal original, a more underground club track or remixing a huge pop star, I just love the feeling of freedom whenever I go into the studio. Noa has the most incredible voice and I was a big fan of ‘Thought About That’ when it came out, so putting this special Ibiza Sunset remix together for her was nothing but a pleasure. I think the record will really come into a life of its own on dancefloors across the world this summer, and I can’t wait to see everybody’s reactions.
