Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data House Nest collects, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and what rights you have.
2. Who We Are

3. Data We Collect
Submissions and bookings. When you submit a track, book coverage, or request a premiere, we collect your name, email address, VAT number if you provide one, kept for tax records, artist or label name, links to your music and profiles, release details, any message or material you send us (such as interview answers, artwork or photos), and your chosen date and time.
AI confirmation. When you submit a track, book coverage or request a premiere, you tick a box confirming your track is not fully AI-generated. We record the date and time, your IP address and your browser type as proof of that confirmation.
Payments. Payments are handled by Stripe and PayPal. We receive your name, email, billing details, the amount paid and confirmation of payment. We never see or store your full card number.
Newsletter. If you join our mailing list, we collect your name and email address.
Emails and enquiries. If you email us, we keep your message and the contact details you gave us so we can reply.
Website usage. We collect technical and usage data such as pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location and referring website, using cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).
Smart links. When you open one of our smart links (a page that sends you to a release on your preferred streaming or download platform), we record anonymous statistics only: which platform you chose, the website you came from (domain name only) and your approximate country and city. These statistics contain no names, email addresses, or IP addresses. Your IP address is used only momentarily by our security and delivery provider and a location database on our own systems to work out your approximate location. It is never stored in our statistics or passed on to other services.

5. Who We Share Data With
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only when needed with service providers who help us run House Nest, such as:
- Stripe for payment processing
- PayPal for payment processing
- Mailchimp for newsletter delivery
- Google for analytics and, where enabled, advertising
- Cloudflare for website security, performance and delivery
- our website hosting and email providers
- our accountant or tax advisers, and authorities where the law requires it
Providers may only use your data to provide their services to us.
If you book coverage, the content you send us (for example your music, name and artwork) will be published publicly as part of that coverage.
We curate playlists and publish content on streaming and video platforms such as Spotify, SoundCloud, YouTube, Tidal and Deezer. Details of releases we cover (artist, title, links and artwork) may appear there as part of our playlists and coverage. Those platforms process data under their own privacy policies.
6. International Transfers
Some of our providers are based outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
7. How Long We Keep Data
- Submission and booking data: as long as needed to deliver the service and handle any follow-up, then deleted or anonymised; normally within 24 months.
- AI confirmation records: kept for 24 months to handle disputes, then deleted.
- Payment, invoice and accounting records: for the period required by tax and accounting law.
- Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe.
- Smart link statistics: kept in anonymous, aggregated form.
- Analytics data: according to the retention settings of the analytics tool.
8. Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- correct inaccurate data
- ask us to delete your data
- restrict or object to our processing
- receive your data in a portable format
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing

You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In Lithuania this is the State Data Protection Inspectorate (Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija, vdai.lrv.lt), or the authority in your own country.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. However, no system is completely secure and we can’t guarantee absolute protection.
10. Children
House Nest is not directed at children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we’ll delete it.
11. Links to Other Sites
Our website and smart links lead to and embed third-party content such as Spotify, SoundCloud, YouTube, Tidal, Deezer, Apple Music, Beatport, Traxsource and social media. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we’re not responsible for them.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new effective date.
