For nearly two decades, Crosstown Rebels has been at the forefront of contemporary dance music.

Crosstown is known for championing both new and established artists, and on April 15th, label boss Damian Lazarus, worldwide house combo Gorgon City, and rising vocalist Leia Contois collaborate on ‘Start Over‘, the label’s biggest release of the year so far.

On ‘Start Over‘, tribal-like rhythmic patterns get things off, and we’re soon treated to Leia Contois‘ lovely vocals. Her gentle lyrical offers compliment Damian and Gorgon City’s electronic sounds, with the addition of a strong lead bassline in the second half of the tune helping to create a hard, club-ready edge. It’s both emotional and dancefloor-friendly, demonstrating natural chemistry between the artists.

I’m super happy that Start Over is coming out on Crosstown. Ever since Gorgon City’s amazing remix of Sacred Dance of the Demon for my Ancient Moons project, the three of us have been waiting for the right opportunity to work together. Introducing my friend Leia Contois to make her vocal debut was both the catalyst and the icing on the cake. To play the track all together, with Leia performing live, at Red Rocks in Colorado next month is going to be a real moment.

We’ve known Damian for years so it’s been so fun to finally collaborate! We love the vibe of the tune and we’re so excited to play it at Red Rocks together!
