The third album in the series, set to be released, will bring an end to the trilogy that encompasses ‘After Hours’ and ‘Dawn FM.’

Variety recently interviewed the music phenom The Weeknd, who made headlines with his announcement to drop his stage persona and adopt his birth name Abel Tesfaye, where he shared an update on the album’s status and offered his response to fans’ speculations on its title.

“I’m finishing the third part of this saga of this trilogy,” he revealed. “The name of it will come out soon, but it’s not what some fans think it’s called…”

“What they think it’s called is actually a song on the album, but that’s not what the actual album is called. So, I’m just gonna say that.”

In addition, The Weeknd graces the screen in the new HBO show, The Idol, a project where he depicted his acting skills and lends his musical talents. Developed by Sam Levinson, the visionary creator of Euphoria, the series unravels the story of a pop star (Lily-Rose Depp) who finds herself entangled in a provocative relationship with Tedros, a charismatic self-help guru and cult leader (played by Tesfaye).

There needs to be a definitive confirmation regarding whether the album will be released under The Weekend or Abel Tesfaye.
