The live music venue, DRUMSHEDS, will open in North London in September.

A former IKEA store that was housed in a 608,000 sq. ft Tottenham warehouse will become a new live music venue. The venue, DRUMSHEDS, is described according to its official Instagram page as “a hybrid, multi-level, multi-room, set in a disused industrial warehouse.”

It was created by Broadwick, a company that aims to create impact through electronic music and electronic arts through live experiences and unique venues.

The opening of DRUMSHEDS comes after the closing of one of London’s most popular venues, Printworks. Printworks 2.0 is not set to open until 2026, making the announcement of DRUMSHEDS even more welcomed.

DRUMSHEDS will open in September and keep some of the warehouse’s original features, such as the lift shafts and machinery. It will host a variety of events, such as set builds, concerts, fashion shoes, and more.

In a LinkedIn post, Simeon Aldred, Broadwick Director of Strategy, stated, “This space like all of our space is a hybrid. Culture will play a central part in the venue, also hireable for a film studio, exhibitions, and brand events.”

He continued, “Community events will also be part of the diary so looking forward to inviting you all to see some amazing things at Drumsheds.”

Broadwick is committed to helping the community surrounding DRUMSHEDS by providing employment opportunities as well as connecting with the venue’s former employees and providing them with free tickets so they can see what their former workplace has become.

If you’re interested in staying up to date on the project and the venue’s future events, you can sign up for DRUMSHEDS’ email list here.
