Elektrons proudly announces its third release, featuring Anahit Vardanyan as the label’s first signed artist. The live performer and producer, Anahit blends classical training with vibrant club culture in her debut release, ‘Avyun’. Her Armenian upbringing and life in Hamburg, combined with her deep understanding of sound, align perfectly with Elektrons’ ethos. Anahit also created original artwork for the release, visually capturing each track’s essence.
The title track, ‘Avyun’, pays homage to her Armenian heritage, merging traditional instruments like the duduk and dhol with modern electronic elements. This fusion creates a rhythmic pulse, connecting ancient traditions with contemporary sounds. Anahit describes ‘Avyun’ as a celebration of the eternal bond between a people and their homeland. The track mesmerizes the dance floor with its fresh, spellbinding energy.
‘Haratev’ (“Eternity” in Armenian) follows ‘Avyun’ with a compelling rhythm and haunting melody. Its piano-tinged intro leads to a powerful progression, intertwining sorrow with hope. Anahit describes it as a reminder that even in chaos, there is a light guiding us to hope. Anahit Vardanyan’s debut on Elektrons embodies the label’s dedication to progressive, boundary-transcending music.
