Sian and Sacha Robotti, under their Third Culture moniker, have joined forces with techno powerhouse Hiroko Yamamura for their latest single, ‘She’s Evil.’

She’s Evil‘ by Third Culture and Hiroko Yamamura is a unique blend of funky and gritty sounds, boasting a punchy bassline, digitized synths, and distorted vocal riffs that set it apart from typical house or techno anthems. The iconic DJ Minx brings her flavor with a remix incorporating heavier sonic elements and her signature “wax” sounds, creating two distinct versions of this underground dance gem. Released via Octopus Recordings, ‘She’s Evil’ is already making waves in the underground scene and showcases Third Culture’s commitment to amplifying female talent in electronic music.

Sacha and Sian, with their multicultural backgrounds, infuse their music with influences from diverse musical traditions. With prior releases on renowned labels like Drumcode, Aus Music, and Sci + Tec, they’ve established themselves as key players in the global techno scene. Their collaborative project, Third Culture, thrives on pushing boundaries and blending their artistry. Following their early EP releases on Solomun‘s Diynamic label and a recent EP with Maceo Plex‘s Lone Romantic imprint, the duo continues to attract support from major names like Tale of Us, Michael Bibi, and Camelphat. ‘She’s Evil’ is another example of their forward-thinking approach to techno and house music, emphasizing innovation and artistry.

Hiroko Yamamura, a Chicago techno veteran, adds her distinct flair to the collaboration with her deep roots in industrial and gothic soundscapes. Known for her gritty, tech-forward productions and DIY punk rock ethos, Hiroko is a staple in the Midwest rave scene, having played at iconic events like the Detroit Movement Festival and in international hubs like Berlin and Ibiza. Her remix of ‘She’s Evil’ showcases her mastery of blending dark, mechanical beats with a dancefloor-friendly groove. With her past projects under the Bio-Booster and Monologic aliases and her work on labels like Trax Records and Klectik, Hiroko remains a driving force in techno, pushing boundaries and paying homage to Chicago’s techno roots.
