Swiss producer and DJ Ilona Maras makes her debut on Victor Ruiz’s label VOLTA with a new two-tracker, Hit the Club EP.
Following her previous release, The Poem on Simina Grigoriu’s Kuukou Records, this marks Ilona’s fourth release of the year.
Now based in Zürich, Ilona describes her sound as bold, unapologetic, and designed to move bodies:
“I love building tension through heavy grooves, hypnotic vocal layers, and powerful low-end energy,” she says.
The EP kicks off with the title track, driven by an electric bassline, throbbing drums, and a vocal hook that says it all: “Let it drop, never stop, ’cause we’re gonna hit the club.”
Track two, “Ra Ra Ra,” is built for peak-time madness — the kind of tune that hits right when the crowd’s already deep in the moment, begging for more.
A gritty bassline, pounding kick, delayed vocal stabs, and tight, layered drums make it a proper weapon.
“VOLTA was the perfect home for these tracks. Victor really understood the energy behind them — that blend of classic techno influence with a fresh, high-voltage approach. I’ve always admired his sound and the direction he’s taking the label. Releasing on VOLTA felt right because it’s a space where techno isn’t boxed in — it’s alive, powerful, and evolving. I’m proud to be part of that vision,” she shares.
