Australian producer 1tbsp has released his latest single, “Soulseek,” featuring Colombian-American artist Soltera. The track follows last year’s Hotel Living EP and serves as an early preview of 1tbsp’s forthcoming album, due later this year.
Described as tense and intimate, “Soulseek” was written across three cities: Mexico City, Los Angeles, and Sydney, reflecting the project’s traveling creative process. The single moves from restrained introspection into more expansive, left-field club energy.

Earlier this year, Maxwell Byrne, the artist behind 1tbsp, relaunched his label Sumoclic as dottidot, expanding its focus toward independent, visual, and narrative-driven projects. In January, the label marked the signing of Soltera with showcase events in Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney.
Reflecting on the track’s creation, Byrne said the idea came together quickly during an early recording session with Soltera before evolving later in Australia, where underground community parties and warehouse-leaning sounds helped shape the second half of the track.
Soltera described “Soulseek” as a reflection on unity and duality, centered on merging energies and identities.
Alongside the release, 1tbsp has announced several major live appearances. He is set to perform at IGLOOFEST in Quebec City on March 5 in support of Disclosure, followed by appearances at Coachella on April 10 and Brazil’s Gop Tun Festival on April 12.
He will also embark on an 11-date North American tour with Soltera, launching March 13 in Seattle and wrapping up in Brooklyn in early April.
