Beirut-based producer and DJ Goose Tann delivers his new EP Monks of Tibet via Leisure Music Productions. The release, which arrived last Friday, April 3, is described as dark and hypnotic.

Goose Tann, who began producing music in 2012, says he quickly realized that music was not just about the beat, but about resonance, driven by a fascination with how electronic music can manipulate emotion and space. He explains that a defining moment came when he paired a deep, hypnotic bassline with traditional vocal chants. This experience created an immediate visceral connection and helped shape his signature path.

The EP, which features three tracks, opens with its title cut “Monks of Tibet,” inspired by the concept of sonic ritual — the way monks use sound to transcend the physical world. Across the track, Goose Tann aims to create an atmosphere that feels both ancient and futuristic, using choirs not just as a stylistic choice but also to bring a sense of sacred space into the dancefloor.

The second track, “Bloom In Silence,” focuses on storytelling through melody. It reflects a more introspective side of the EP, reminding the listener that even in total silence and stillness, there is a massive amount of growth and beauty occurring.

“I see this EP as a complete cycle. It starts with the heavy, grounded ritual of ‘Monks Of Tibet,’ moves through the internal reflection of ‘Bloom In Silence,’ and culminates in ‘Alba,’ which represents the dawn and spiritual awakening. I didn’t want these to be three random tracks; I wanted them to feel like a pilgrimage. By the time you reach the final notes of ‘Alba,’ I hope the listener feels as though they’ve traveled through the night and arrived somewhere enlightened,” he says.

This marks Goose Tann’s third solo release on Leisure Music Productions, following Yomah in 2024 and Hera in Atlanta in 2025.
