K-Syran has built a career that moves freely between music, acting, filmmaking and humanitarian work. A trained actress at RADA and Guildhall School of Music & Drama, she has collaborated with artists including StoneBridge, Blue, Sugababes and Sebastian Pérez while continuing to explore new creative directions.
Her latest release, “One Eye on the Road,” reunites her with longtime collaborator StoneBridge. Featuring K-Syran’s vocals and lyrics, the track reflects her restless spirit and desire to stay open to life, while StoneBridge expands the release through Original, Retro, Dub, and Ibiza mixes.
In this interview, K-Syran speaks with House Nest about her creative relationship with StoneBridge, the story behind “One Eye on the Road,” her work across music and film, and the role of art in raising awareness. She also discusses ELLIDA, her recent charity performance in Geneva, and what’s ahead, including a new country album featuring musicians from Nashville, a new movie project, and more live shows.
Hello K-Syran, thank you for joining us today. How are you doing, and where are you currently based?
Hi Erikas, lovely to meet you. All good, and you? I’m based in Europe at the moment. I’ve just finished a charity show in Geneva with Ukraine’s Madonna, Irina Bilyk. She is so lovely, and they all are.
Let’s talk about your latest collaboration with StoneBridge, “One Eye on the Road.” How did the collaboration come together?
StoneBridge and I have been collaborating for many years now. Sometimes in life, it just works! I feel lucky to have found someone so talented. He’s a fantastic producer, and it feels easy to work together. It just comes together naturally.
You provide the vocals and lyrics for the release. How did the vocal and lyrical ideas come together, and what did you want to express through the song?
It’s actually the truth. I always have a packed suitcase ready to go. Psychologically, I hate being put into a box, and likewise, I don’t want to feel stuck in one place. After two days, I feel restless. I wanted to express that feeling of always being open to life, being on the move, and enjoying every second we are here. I probably hate missing out (she laughs).
The release includes Original, Retro, Dub, and Ibiza mixes. What inspired the decision to explore these different versions? How does each mix bring something different to the track?
StoneBridge is an amazing producer who just flows with ideas and inspiration. He’s never just produced one track. He has far too much creativity in him to only do one single version.

This isn’t your first collaboration with StoneBridge. You’ve worked together several times over the years. What makes your creative relationship work so well, and why do you keep returning to each other’s sound?
We are both Vikings! Sometimes in life, it just clicks, and with StoneBridge, I hope to work together forever. I love all the tracks we’ve created together. They just seem to work. I still see some of our past tracks being added to different playlists today.
You’ve worked with artists including Blue, Sugababes, Sebastian Pérez, and StoneBridge, while also building a career as an actress and filmmaker. How do these different creative worlds influence each other?
As a trained actress at RADA and Guildhall School of Music & Drama, you can’t take the actress out of me. That’s also why I’m so excited to finally live my dream and release my newly finished country album, featuring amazing musicians from Nashville. It’s super authentic, proper country. With country music, you tell a story just as an actress would.
I am also working on a new movie project. When you have ideas, you must give birth to them.
Your work has often connected music with important social and humanitarian causes, from “Intimacy” being recognized by the United Nations to your work with Human Rights Watch. Why has using your art to raise awareness become such an important part of your career?
It’s so much richer and more satisfying. Being able to raise awareness through your music, writing, acting, directing, and producing is the best gift you can give. It makes you feel so happy and humble.
You also wrote, produced, and starred in ELLIDA, which went on to receive more than 60 festival awards. What did making the film teach you that you now bring into your music and other creative projects?
Never give up! ELLIDA was the hardest project I’ve ever done, and as I said earlier, I’m working on a new movie project, but I won’t do it alone again. I’m very proud to have finished it and to have secured distribution in Los Angeles.
You have performed in Geneva on September 18 at Salle Centrale de la Madeleine as part of “Duo avec une star,” a charitable project where children perform alongside established artists. What does being part of this event mean to you?
So much! They were all so happy and emotional, so cute. Seeing their little faces light up is worth everything!
Looking ahead, what else is coming for K-Syran? Can fans expect more music, collaborations, acting projects, or other creative ventures before the end of 2026?
Yes, they can! A new country album, a new movie project, and new live shows. As long as I’m lucky enough to be alive, I will never stop.
