UK producer James Tennant presents “Express Yourself,” released via Sureshot Music.
Drawing from ’90s Classic House with a Chicago House flavor, the track opens with shuffling hi-hats, a precise kick drum, and a dubby bassline that immediately establishes an underground groove.
Old-school female rave vocals appear as looping accents, while a bleeping sound and sharp synth textures shape the breakdown.
The first drop brings the vocal loops back alongside a groovy bassline and a high-pitched pluck that gives the production a bright melodic edge.
A lead synth later joins the groove, with breakbeat elements helping build momentum toward the second breakdown.
From there, the main lead, plucky synths, and breakbeats gradually raise the energy before the final drop returns to the track’s core groove.
“Express Yourself” captures the raw character of ’90s house while keeping the production crisp and club-focused.
