German producer Klangvermittler returns with Metamorphosis, a two-track EP released via Wise Jester Records. Following his earlier single “Exoplanet,” the new release marks his second offering of the year, exploring progressive and melodic house through atmospheric textures, evolving arrangements, and emotive soundscapes.
While still an emerging name in electronic music, Klangvermittler has spent several years developing his production skills alongside his work as a DJ. His music reflects a growing focus on storytelling through sound, blending melodic elements and immersive atmospheres to create a listening experience that extends beyond the dancefloor.

The EP opens with its title track, built around rolling basslines, poignant melodic chords, a punchy kick drum, and restrained claps. Blippy electronic effects gradually emerge as the arrangement develops, creating a gentle sense of movement without disrupting its calm atmosphere. The progression feels measured and reflective, with a spacious breakdown offering a moment of stillness before the track continues its melodic journey.
“Long Way Home” takes a different approach, introducing a marching bassline, subtle hi-hats, a soft kick drum, and bright, piercing synths. The arrangement carries a more forward-moving energy, balancing its driving rhythmic foundation with melodic details. Its breakdown begins to introduce a sharper synth lead, adding contrast and tension to the track’s progression.
For Klangvermittler, Metamorphosis reflects the personal changes and different stages that shape our lives. As the producer explains, the EP was created to capture “the feeling of transformation,” translating that idea into evolving melodies, atmospheric textures, and driving rhythms. Each track carries its own character while contributing to a broader narrative of growth, discovery, and embracing the unknown.
With its two contrasting productions, Metamorphosis presents Klangvermittler’s evolving approach to progressive and melodic house, pairing introspective atmospheres with carefully developed grooves.
