MOGA was created in 2016 in Essaouira, Mogador, and is now set to return to Morocco from September 28 to October 2, 2022, following three Moroccan editions and two editions exported to Caparica, Portugal. Final lineup additions promise five days of dance, music, food, and discovery in the heart of the pearl of the Atlantic. In phase 2, musicians like Polo & Pan, Acid Arab, Sébastien Léger, CC:DISCO!, DJ Python, Jimi Jules, Petre Inspirescu, Lee Burridge, DJ Tennis, and Soichi Terada will join John Talabot, Francesco Del Garda, Moullinex, Alyssa & Gia, Parallells, and Habibi Funk.

Essaouira, a paradise for digital nomads and surf and yoga aficionados from all over the world in the 1960s, was once a haven for hippies. In 2016, MOGA was established with a thoughtful program that combines cutting-edge local and foreign sounds. Through open access events like cooking workshops, yoga classes, free concerts in the Medina, brunches, masterclasses, and more, the boutique festival collaborates with local curators to promote the location and the Souiri lifestyle.

The festival is divided into two halves. On September 28 and 29, MOGA OFF offers free admission to events such as open parties, art, wellness, food, talks, and more across the city. A full schedule will soon be made public.

On September 30, October 1 and 2, MOGA IN at SOFITEL Essaouira Mogador Golf & Spa welcomes more than 50 artists on five stages across the property, and festival-goers may enjoy the panoramic swimming pool surrounded by an olive tree garden from 13:00 till midnight. On the weekend schedule, there will also be yoga sessions and a “souk” designer market.
