Israeli trance producer Maor Levi releases a fantastic five-track EP titled ‘Shift’ on Anjunabeats with two brand new surprise remixes. The EP showcases Levi’s exceptional production skills and is bound to enthrall both trance and progressive house fans!
For over a decade, Maor Levi has been an essential artist for Anjunabeats, leaving an indelible mark on the label’s contemporary sound. Maor’s journey with Anjunabeats started when he signed with Anjunadeep in 2006 at the mere age of 15 with his hit ‘Lital’, before jumping across to Anjunabeats. Maor’s creative output has been consistent, delivering a string of club anthems for the label, such as the evergreen ‘Reflect’, ‘Shapes’, and ‘Won’t Say No’.
In 2022 he released two remixes of Above & Beyond‘s tracks, namely ‘With Your Hope’ and ‘Chains’. He exhilarated the audience during A&B’s Group Therapy Weekender London festival held in the fall, and more recently, he performed alongside ilan Bluestone in two energetic shows in London and Manchester.
Maor Levi and OTIOT, two Israeli producers who have previously collaborated on releases such as ‘Aria’, ‘Bandana’, and ‘Turn Out The Lights’, kick start the 5-track ‘Shift EP’ with ‘Mhondoro’. The track made its debut on Above & Beyond’s Anjunabeats Volume 16 and serves as a perfect opener with its potent energy. EL Waves‘ serene vocals in the breakdown complement the track’s intensity. Listeners can hear the distinct sounds of both producers as they showcase their signature energetic styles.
Keeping the energy flowing, Maor Levi brings out his next powerful collaboration ‘Let You Go’ with Magnificence which was released last month. The track combines driving drum and bass rhythms with powerful synths, a serene melody, and soothing vocals, resulting in yet another dance floor anthem that’s sure to captivate audiences.
The 3rd track on the EP is titled ‘Alone’ and joining Maor on this track are Brandon Vendetta, who’s previously remixed Maor’s side-project Elysian, and production/vocalist duo Ash Nova. The track encompasses the finest elements of progressive and trance music with an enchanting melody, a buoyant rhythm, and heartfelt vocals, resulting in an enthralling listening experience.
Next up, Maor and OTIOT have joined forces once again for their latest collaboration, ‘Open Road’, delivering their signature eclectic sound and high-energy beats. The renowned singer-songwriter, Talyr Renee, has contributed her exceptional vocals to the track, perfectly complementing the dynamic and melodic progression of the music. The EP comes to a close with ‘2 Minds’, a collaborative effort between Maor and the alternative singer-songwriter, SLM. This vocal-centric track blends Maor’s trademark bass-heavy beats and futuristic sound, resulting in a hip-hop-infused tune that is sure to elevate any party.
And finally, on Disc 2 there are two brand-new remixes of ‘Am I Dreaming’ a solo Maor Levi release that came out in 2021. These remixes are brought to us by the talented Crystal Skies and Tony Gribsun, who demonstrate their exceptional musical style and impeccable production abilities.
