Rapper Lil Wayne has achieved immense success and significantly influenced the music industry. Since 1999, Lil Wayne has released 13 studio albums, and his upcoming album, “The Carter VI,” is expected to hit the music scene shortly. Lately, Wayne further elaborated that the records propelling him to stardom in the early 2000s no longer hold any personal significance due to his memory loss.

You could lie, you could ask me [about] such and such song, I wouldn’t even know what we talking about. So, it holds no significance to me at all.

I always look at it as the curse part of the gift and the curse. I believe that (God) blessed me with this amazing mind but would not give (me) an amazing memory to remember this amazing (expletive).

Wayne told Rolling Stone.

During the interview with Rolling Stone, when questioned about his perspective on his album “The Carter III” after 15 years, he honestly shared his thoughts with the magazine:

I’m going to be so honest with you: I don’t know Tha Carter III, Tha Carter II, Tha Carter One from Tha Carter IV. And that’s just my God’s truth.

In addition to being open about his memory loss, the rapper has been transparent about other health concerns. The rapper, known for his hit song “A Milli“, revealed his epilepsy diagnosis in 2013, acknowledging his status as an epileptic. Despite coping with epilepsy and memory loss, he intends to continue his musical career without any retirement plans shortly. The artist revealed that he remains actively involved, working on multiple songs, and penning down around 20 verses daily.

Additionally, Lil Wayne has recently wrapped up the production of “ColleGrove 2,” a follow-up to his collaborative album with 2 Chainz from 2016, as reported by Rolling Stone.

When you’re an artist – a real artist like me, I was born this way. So, I don’t think that the real, true artists and pioneers, they never retire. They died doing this.
