Scandinavian production duo anamē has unveiled their debut album, ‘Beautiful World,’ which is now available on the revered Anjunabeats label. This collaborative masterpiece, crafted by the dynamic duo of Marcus Schössow and Thomas Sagstad, represents a project that has been in the making for over two decades.

The collaborative work of Marcus Schössow and Thomas Sagstad, anamē reaches its latest apex with ‘Beautiful World’, an album that the pair have envisioned since first meeting at a house party in Helsingborg, Sweden, over two decades ago. Their new album is OUT NOW via the prestigious Anjunabeats.

‘Beautiful World’ isn’t just an album; it’s a symphony of collaboration. The title track, ‘Beautiful World’, features the voice of Steve Smith, a member of the GRAMMY-winning act Dirty Vegas. For Thomas Sagstad, working with Smith was a dream come true, and the track encapsulates the album’s essence.

Another gem on the album is ‘Hurt You’, a track that dates back several years and features the vocals of fellow Swede Lya Adams. It’s a collaboration with AN21, known for his contributions to SIZE Records and as the brother of Steve Angello. ‘Closer’ sees anamē team up with Dutch indie band Vaarwell, now known as Shobi.

An integral aspect of ‘Beautiful World’ is its profound lyrics. Schössow and Sagstad emphasize that the lyrics must carry genuine meaning. Tracks like ‘Gravity’ explore deeper themes and resonate with listeners. And for anamē, it’s about finding vocals that align with their values and beliefs, rather than chasing the most pop-friendly sound. The album is also a representation of anamē’s worldview. Across its thirteen mesmerizing tracks, the duo shares their musical vision, inviting listeners to immerse themselves in their sonic tapestry.

As their tour continues with upcoming stops in London, Houston, and Toronto, anamē’s musical journey remains in motion. With ‘Beautiful World’, they have carved a path marked by passion, collaboration, and genuine expression, inviting listeners to join them on this extraordinary ride.
