With their fourth EP, ARTBAT continues to create their young but excellent UPPERGROUND label, this time in the shape of a diverse artists compilation.

The compilation ‘Selected‘ features music by the Ukrainian duo as well as brilliant peers Woo York, Stephan Jolk, and Noissier.

ARTBAT are fresh off a fantastic performance at the Ushuaia Ibiza opening party, and their most recent single, ‘Your Space,’ featuring Dino Lenny, is still climbing the Beatport charts. ‘Generation,’ a musically evocative track with skillful synth craft that blurs the lines between deep house and melodic techno, continues to refine their sound. The luscious chords ring out into an enormous sky, and the rolling drums work to hypnotize the mind, while sci-fi keys give even more complexity to this atmospheric and dramatic piece.

Woo York, the next act, are long-time Ukrainian pioneers who provide a powerful, driving, dark yet nuanced sound that is ideal for this label. The rumbling bottom end of their song ‘Like A Phoenix‘ adds drama and vitality to the starry-eyed melodies above. On any dance floor, it’s a track that will have people immersed at the moment.

On ‘Blossom,’ a highly atmospheric and peak-time track, Stephan Jolk’s passionate and dynamic flare is exhibited once again. It’s slow-burning, engrossing music drenched in sparkling synth rhythms that will carry you off your feet. Last but not least, Lithuania’s Noissier has become a solid favorite among space techno musicians, and ‘Stay Close,’ a meaty composition with weighty percussion and drawn-out chords that tease and satisfy, demonstrates why.
