Canadian DJ ATTLAS drops a breathtaking new single on Monstercat Records.
For the past four years, Canada’s ATTLAS cut his teeth in the business, making a splash in Progressive Melodic House. Having grown up a musical child, ATTLAS created his current moniker in 2015 and proceeded to release countless EPs/singles. In the past two years alone, the DJ received a nomination for a JUNO Award for his recent two albums. Now, as of recent, ATTLAS released a brand new uplifting, empowering single titled ‘A Game Of Fairies‘ on Monstercat Records.
‘A Game of Fairies’ starts with a rather sandy-textured beat that remains present throughout the track, alongside a slight bounce. Brassy synths make up the main melody, which adds to the beautiful, yet subtle bass groove at the same time. On top of that, a sense of whimsicality in the atmosphere embraces the tune, making the title an accurate fit. I get the desire to just lay in a grassy field with a pair of earbuds and just envelope this song. ATTLAS probably has that in mind when constructing this song or at the very least felt somewhat inspired by that.
ATTLAS wanted to create something influenced by the whimsical creatures that paint our childhood stories and bring light to darkness. After listening to the end product, “A Game Of Fairies” matches the whimsical nature of the entitled fantastic creatures.
