Avantika Debuts on Get Physical With ‘Moody Koyal’ EP

Indian artist Avantika has made her debut on Berlin’s imprint Get Physical Music with the Moody Koyal EP, released June 25. The two-track project features “Maro Dum” and the title single, which has already received support from American DJ and producer KSHMR.

On the EP, Avantika blends traditional influences such as “Mara Mara” with modern club energy. Describing her sound as “bold and genre-defying,” she continues to break ground internationally, having become the first Indian DJ to debut at Serbia’s EXIT Festival last year.

What’s more, “Moody Koyal” holds personal significance for Avantika — it was only the second track she ever produced, and she performed it live during her EXIT debut. “That was an unbelievable moment,” she recalls.
