NYC-based producer and DJ Avision return to Factory 93 with a spectacular three-track ‘Generation Z’ EP.

Avision, a DJ and producer who has been a part of New York’s techno scene for more than ten years, has emerged from the background and significantly improved recently, extending onto the world’s techno scene with a number of noteworthy releases that caught the attention of many. After releasing additional music via Cocoon, Drumcode, Second State, and Truncate in addition to his debut album on Maceo Plex‘s Ellum, his latest release welcomes a return to Factory 93 – the venue for his 2022 EP, Party Started. His ‘Generation Z’ EP, makes a stylish comeback and offers three distinct views on the genre.

The production ‘Space 777’ begins with a sweeping, synth-driven tour of celestial lands that lasts well into the wee hours of the morning. The hard-edged and rough title track ‘Generation Z’ combines no-nonsense kicks, hallucinogenic leads, and smashing hats for a loopy and slightly eerie trip before the groove-heavy, slinking tones of ‘The Void’ neatly and elegantly wrap off the performance.

Speaking about his latest three-track EP, Avision says:

I made this EP coming out of the pandemic. I was getting ready for my first Factory 93 show that I ever played when I finished this EP. I specifically remember testing out a few of the records onstage and, sure enough, that solidified this second release for the label. Each track on the EP has a touch of old-school feel along with a new-school approach. I’m so excited to finally release this EP as I’ve been playing it since I’ve made it!
