Producer and DJ ax1om makes debut on Clif Jack’s Imprint, MJA the Vision, with a two-track release, In the Moment. Following his previous track “Thrive,” released as part of the Hiss of Sound VA1 compilation on MJA the Vision, producer and DJ ax1om now makes his official debut on the label with In the Moment—a powerful two-tracker that showcases his evolving sound.
Ax1om began producing music at the young age of 15. Early on, he played in various rock bands and explored a wide range of genres. His love for computers eventually led him into the world of music technology, where he dove deeper and deeper into production and sound design.
For In the Moment, ax1om draws inspiration from techno titans like Adam Beyer, Enrico Sangiuliano, and Charlotte de Witte. He gravitates toward that fusion of dark, hypnotic rhythms and expansive atmospheres—something he finds especially compelling.
The release kicks off with the title track, built around a weighty low-end, a brooding atmosphere, delayed vocals, and sharp synth stabs.
“Liability,” the second cut, is designed squarely for the dance floor, featuring shuffling hi-hats, trippy percussion, a hammering kick, and a reese-style bassline.
Although ax1om is still a fresh name in the techno scene, his productions sound anything but amateur. Each track is professionally crafted, signaling a promising future ahead.
