In this groundbreaking release, Bákayan, the talented artist hailing from Germany and Turkey, makes a stellar debut on the renowned Stil vor Talent label, introducing a fresh wave of innovation and cultural richness to the electronic music scene.
Following the success of his ‘Neowl’ EP alongside Grooveshack on Elif’s Marginalia imprint, Bákayan is kicking off 2024 with his unique blend of entrancingly deep and dynamically charged sounds with his EP ‘Fireflies.’
When speaking about the release, Bákayan highlighted the influence of German producer and DJ Oliver Koletzki and the goal to capture the energy of Stil vor Talent, which is a leading indie label for electronic music, in addition to a booking and event agency.
“From the outset, these tracks were crafted with Stil vor Talent in mind,” Bákayan stated. “My goal was to grasp the essence of the Stil vor Talent family and I’m super excited to finally share this release with the world.”
Bákayan’s release of ‘Fireflies’ encapsulates his artistic essence. The title track combines mystique with no-nonsense club attributes, which was inspired by the image of fireflies in Turkish mountains. The release features both original and edited versions of the track ‘Breathe,’ with vocals from Bákayan himself. This track encompasses the spiritual journey across the Bosphorus, offering a mix of transporting flavors and big-room-focused traction for diverse audience experiences. The edited version features Ibiza-based artist Safar.
