Beatport has made the exclusive announcement of a new platform, providing fans with access to unique collectibles and engaging interactions with artists and labels.

The world’s largest online platform Beatport has teamed up with Polkadot, a network protocol that connects blockchains to create a digital collectible marketplace Beatport.io. The platform will launch on Aventus, a Web3 solutions provider for enterprises and parachain in the Polkadot ecosystem.

It will allow producers and record labels to create unique digital assets resulting in higher fan engagement. It will give music lovers the chance to learn more about the value of digital collectibles and strengthen their relationship with their favorite musicians and DJs while also enabling artists, producers, and record companies to take advantage of Web3’s benefits.

Ed Hill, SVP of Beatport’s Media Group says:

The electronic music community has always been at the forefront of cultural shifts and their early embrace of Web3 and all the promise it offers is no different. To usher in a new era for the electronic music space, we felt it was important to join forces with a trusted, long-time leader in the blockchain space. Polkadot’s open and interoperable ecosystem enables us to seamlessly tap into Web3 and celebrate electronic music by connecting fans with their favorite artists in unique and powerful new ways.

The digital collectibles will provide early access to bonus features like unreleased tracks, ticket discounts, and access to global events and interactive experiences. The NFTs will be distributed via Aventus, a blockchain built on Polkadot. To celebrate the launch of Beatport.io, Beatport, and Polkadot will host 10 major events over the next 18 months.
