Blancwater, the duo of Zefanja Ter Horst and Per Hoogendoorn, present “Solid Ground,” a melodic single featuring the heartfelt vocals of Sibbyl.
The track opens with sentimental piano chords and her echoed vocals, gradually introducing filtered hats and claps as the arrangement unfolds. A punchy kick and warm bassline then carry the track into its first drop, giving the emotional foundation a deeper rhythmic pull.
The breakdown strips things back around Sibbyl’s vocals and piano, before subtle percussion and rising effects build anticipation toward the second drop. Here, Blancwater expand the melodic palette with additional motifs and a delayed plucked melody, adding movement and depth without losing the track’s emotional core.
“Solid Ground” feels carefully paced, allowing its melodies and vocals to develop naturally while maintaining a strong sense of atmosphere throughout.
