Ireland-born, Mexico-based producer and DJ Boom Merchant has released his latest project, Vandalist, via his own Tribal Pulse imprint. Released earlier this month, the release pairs the original track with two reinterpretations: a remix from Moog Conspiracy and Boom Merchant’s own Dark Drums Remix.
With more than 15 years of production experience, Boom Merchant has performed across Europe and Asia while continuing to develop Tribal Pulse as an outlet for his club-focused sound.

The title track opens with a weighty kick drum, shifting noise textures, and filtered percussion before gradually introducing pitched vocal fragments and a hypnotic, low-end-driven groove. Built around minimal arrangements and dark energy, the track keeps its focus firmly on the dancefloor.
Moog Conspiracy’s remix softens the original’s approach with shuffling hats, crisp claps, delayed basslines, and sequenced synths, while retaining the eerie vocal elements and melodic motifs. Boom Merchant closes the release with his Dark Drums Remix, stripping back the harmonic elements in favor of harder percussion and a more relentless techno groove aimed at late-night club sets.
Boom Merchant continues to build momentum with two upcoming performances in Mexico City. He is scheduled to play at Playita Matamoros on July 14, before returning on July 19 for another event alongside iluna, Wil Stifler, Mhz Expansions, and Arthur.
