Czech duo, Bratři released ‘Escape’, a new album inspired by the nurturing nature and pleasant urban pulse.
Soothing news came from the Czech Republic. The country is home to the electronic duo, Bratři. Jiří and Ondřej Veselý, twin brothers, founded the group in 2016, and since this press release, they have played in 12 festivals, releasing many projects throughout. Bratři released a new album titled ‘Escape‘ two weeks ago. The twins also released the single ‘Ayra‘ from the album, accompanied by a YouTube music video to match the aesthetic. The album is their third release this year and fifteenth in their discography. ‘Escape’ is an immersive record engineered with contrasting elements from the forces of nature and city life.
The album mixes soft and calm elements, resembling the aspects of nature like wind and water. Then, the fast-paced and sturdy elements of city and civilization sweep in. Ondřej Veselý explained that they tried to draw inspiration from the contrasts between the hustle of city life and the calming effect of nature. The group aims to reflect such diversity in their tracks, where synthesizer sounds and melodies blend with the sound design. For instance, the tracks ‘Gilda‘ and ‘II‘ demonstrated how Bratři play with textures and atmosphere like a magic trick, with such aspects adding more dimensions to their production. Moreover, Bratři works with the renowned German producer and mixing engineer Hannes Bieger for the final mix. Bieger has been working with Bratři since 2020.
The album contains new tracks that fans might already know from their new set. This makes the album a studio and concert experience simultaneously. The brothers wish that people will have a cohesive experience with the album. It contains a wide span of genres, from techno to progressive techno, glitch, experimental techno, and IDM.
