Coachella’s first festival was launched in 1999 and was branded as an “anti-Woodstock” festival. Today, the festival welcomes top musical acts from around the world, showcasing different genres, styles, and cultures. It’s a place for artists to connect with fans, even using the large platform to voice political beliefs and perform live debuts of songs. In recent years, it has become famous as a hot spot for celebrities and influencers, as well as an epicenter for viral social media campaigns.
