Dutch Techno producer Colyn drops a new single, ‘Day 8’, for RÜFÜS DU SOL’s label, Rose Avenue Records, ahead of the label’s first compilation album.

RÜFÜS DU SOL, during their 10+ years as a group, made quite a lot of friends and acquaintances over time. Eventually, there Australian Alternative Dance group decided to start their own label, Rose Avenue Records, and signed some of them. Now, 5 years after they started, Rose Avenue announcee their first ever compilation album, Rose Avenue Compilation Vol. 1. The album comprises of 10 tracks and contains work from Modern Tales, Luke Alessi, Enamour, and Julya Karma, naming a few.

For the lead single, RÜFÜS DU SOL entrusted Dutch Techno producer Colyn, who chose ‘Day 8’, one of his staples. “Day 8” starts with a light beat, which starts to become more prominent as the track goes on, en route. Thorny keys and a wavy synthline also make themselves present during the intro as the track begins to pick up. The bass groove starts out subtle before picking up the pace just as melodic keys begin making the track compelling. As the cherry on top, mind-enveloping vocals and atmospheric synths complete the experience and bring the track to its climax.

With a super talented roster behind the board, Rose Avenue will make sure listeners get nothing but their absolute best. Colyn proves with “Day 8” that he will be sure that fans and newcomers will be getting the absolute best.

Day 8′ has been a staple in my sets for a long time and it’s been a long sought after ID by a lot of fans, so I’m happy it’s finally seeing the light through Rose Avenue. The continuous support and friendship with RÜFÜS DU SOL makes it feel like coming home to be part of the label again for this new compilation. The compilation has an interesting selection with some artists that I really love like Luke Alessi.
