Brazilian artist Luiz Coppola, known professionally as Coppola, has released his debut album, Sandbox Dreams. The 11-track project arrived yesterday (Nov. 21) via Gui Boratto’s imprint D.O.C Records and is described as a “deeply personal and exploratory body of work.”
Coppola began experimenting with CDJs at age 12 and was producing music by 14. After graduating from DJ Ban’s music production program, he went on to release more than 400 singles across various labels.
Sandbox Dreams features collaborations with Marco, 2STRANGE, Dani Boi, Odaya, Joni, Bauhouse, Frank White, Maria Paula Cunha, and Ari Borger. Sonically, the album spans electronica and downtempo, blurring the lines between deep, dance-focused production and more dreamlike, atmospheric textures.
“This album is something I’ve been shaping for years, and I’m really happy to finally share it with you,” Coppola says.
