English DJ Corey James and Italian DJ HIISAK team up with Steve Angello to revive the House music classic ‘The Underground (House Of God)’.

In 1990, DHS released a little song called ‘House Of God‘, helping pave the path for House music today. While not a major success at first, HoG eventually found an audience, made its way to Europe, and changed everything. Then, in 2023, Progressive House supergroup Swedish House Mafia, more specifically member Steve Angello, performed a new version at Ultra Miami. From there, HoG continued to be performed at festivals like Ultra Brazil, Creamfield, and Tomorrowland, further making its presence known. Now, to get it officially released, Angello teamed up with Corey James, and HIISAK to produce ‘The Underground’.

‘The Underground (House of God)’, as it’s officially named, aims to bridge the gap between classic and modern House music. Beats on the track feel highly energetic, allowing the track to still maintain a timeless club vibe to groove with. Synths, on the other hand, remain stripped back as they were on the original as well, keeping some classic components. On top of that, vocals on the track, provided by the iconic Roland Clark, provide a robotic nature to the track. Overall, Angello, Corey James, and HIISAK bring a bonafide classic into the modern era, providing this generation their own version.
