Israeli producer Yonatan Daskal, known as Daskal, has released his third album, OD, today via DJ Tennis’ Life and Death imprint. Following his debut Romantican in 2021 and his second album in 2024, OD features ten tracks and reflects over five years of evolution in his sound.
A graduate of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance High School, Daskal has performed at festivals and clubs worldwide and collaborated with artists including Avishai Cohen, Minimal Compact, Noga Erez, Omer Adam, and Atar Mayner.

Co-produced by Dori Sadovnik of Red Axes, OD draws from Daskal’s Transylvanian and Ukrainian musical roots. The album bridges concert halls, contemporary dance stages, and nightclubs, blending classical textures with club-ready rhythms and immersive spatial awareness.
Opening with “Who Am?”, the album sets a forward-moving tone with acid motifs, delay, and a cinematic atmosphere. The title track, “OD,” is a trippy journey through poly-synths and gliding breakbeats, while “Be Arp” delivers a haunting, atmospheric mood with a progressive bassline that evolves into uplifting analog arpeggios.
“Sati” introduces futuristic breakbeats, LFO-driven bass, and shuffling piano, and “It’s Fine” captures cinematic tension, layering sharp synths, piano, and choral voices like a movie score in suspenseful motion.
Daskal continues to explore texture and rhythm with “Mmmm,” which combines dubby breakbeats and playful blippy synths, and “1992,” a faster-paced track featuring sequenced piano, pitched basslines, and driving drums. The album closes with “Ropes,” showcasing Daskal’s classical sensibility in a joyful, uplifting finale.
The album demonstrates Daskal’s extraordinary skill: while anyone can make music, OD reflects a masterful composer whose craft combines talent, precision, and emotional depth. Recorded using a hybrid of vintage hardware, including a rare 1980s German mixer, and modern software, the album emphasizes rhythm, repetition, and physicality while retaining the sophistication of his compositional and cultural background.
