Disco Lines debuts on Insomniac Records with the three-track ‘LOVELAND EP,’ a compilation of beats that are sure to warm your heart.

‘LOVELAND’ is the first EP by L.A.’s Disco Lines. The first release, which is led by the moving single ‘Another Chance,’ sneaks onto the scene a few days before the whole EP as a tribute to individuals who are experiencing strong feelings on Valentine’s Day. His piano-heavy house song chronicles the struggle to reclaim someone’s affection after they’ve fallen through the cracks. Disco Lines creates a tender serenade by seamlessly combining lively hooks and dreamy textures to set the mood.

‘2 Hearts’ radically switches up the tempo and mood in search of a more meaningful connection. The Orange County native enlists the assistance of accomplished vocalist and producer GUDFELLA and contributes his distinctive vocal roughness to capture the essence of infatuation. His impassioned cries are perfectly accompanied by plucky bass, prolonged pads, and shuffled percussion. They maintain their tenacity throughout the playful keyboard solo holding court at the track’s finale.

With ‘Waste Your Love’, which features LA beatmaker Kwon and queer indie pop sensation morgxn, the EP’s release comes to a conviction. A melancholy melodic house closer that struggles with the idea of bringing someone new into the picture emerges from the fusion of these three distinctive projects. Up until the somber progressions make the doubt appear insurmountable, the gentle breakbeat percussion, delicate piano notes, and glittering melodies provide a backdrop for morgxn‘s self-deprecating delivery.

I had a really cool topline that we got from Clementine Douglas. While I was on tour in Australia, I linked up with Harry [Odd Mob]. Harry and I wanted to work on it together. He had a connection at a studio in Brisbane, the same studio that ‘Dance Monkey’ was recorded in, a very cool place. We booked it out for the day and worked on it. I was listening to a lot of piano house and getting inspired by it. Harry hit the piano chords and then I added some drums and bass. Most of it came together that day, super quick. It’s always a good feeling when songs come together like that. No need to overthink it, if it feels good, it is.
