The iconic British electronic music label and compilation series Global Underground is returning to Ibiza for a two-date event series at 528, in collaboration with 909 and WAV Liverpool. Taking place Oct. 1 and 2, the events will bring together key names from the label’s history alongside a new generation of artists.

Founded in 1996 by Andy Horsfield and James Todd, Global Underground helped shape the progressive house sound through its celebrated compilation series, featuring artists including Sasha, Paul Oakenfold, John Digweed, Nick Warren and Danny Tenaglia. Recent editions including GU49: Dublin by Deep Dish and GU48: Córdoba by Guy J have continued the series’ international legacy.

The first event takes place Thursday, Oct. 1, running from 5 p.m. until 4 a.m. at the 528 Garden Amphitheatre, with Deep Dish and Guy J leading the lineup. The night continues at 528 Club with sets from Dave Seaman, James Zabiela and Patrice Bäumel.

Day two on Friday, Oct. 2 moves to Café del Mar, with Lloyd Barwood set to perform alongside additional artists still to be announced. The rising British DJ and producer has already shared the decks with Sasha, Dave Seaman, Danny Howells and Nick Muir.

The two-date celebration arrives as Global Underground marks its 30th anniversary, bringing the label back to Ibiza for the first time in its new chapter. October also offers a quieter side of the island, with milder weather and fewer crowds than peak summer.

“I’m really excited to be bringing such a stellar GU lineup to the White Isle,” says Global Underground founder Andy Horsfield. “528 is by far my favourite venue on the island with true Ibiza vibes. It’s going to be a very special party.”

909’s Stuart Hodson adds that bringing Global Underground back to Ibiza in 2026 feels like “connecting that original spirit with where underground electronic music is today.”

WAV Liverpool’s Kev and Phil Odger are equally excited, saying they “can’t wait to be standing in the Ibiza sunshine” and experience the next chapter of Global Underground’s Ibiza story.

With two nights spanning 528 and Café del Mar, the series brings together Global Underground’s progressive house heritage and its continuing connection to the wider underground electronic music scene.
