Today we welcome Portuguese duo Mayze X Faria.
Mayze X Faria is the best Portuguese duo that travels within the genres with which they most identify (Melodic Tech, Melodic House, and Tech House), bringing the atmosphere and feeling of true artists of the electronic music scene across boundaries, with nearly 20 years of experience.
Mayze X Faria’s journey begins in the Portuguese city of Braga in the year 2004. John Mayze and Miguel Faria shared similar musical tastes and a desire to write and produce their own tunes. They’ve developed a distinct personality in their production over time, revealing the signature that is now recognizable in their music. They have performed on festival stages and club booths on Portuguese and foreign terrain in countries such as Spain, Luxembourg, Colombia, and Angola since the beginning of their career. In 2020, they add the video projects X Places and Originals to their curriculum, and in 2021, they incorporate the Melodic Tech and Melodic House genres into the DNA of their creations with EPs like “Lady of Love” and tracks like “Red Rocks,” “Yellowstone,” and “El Cuento.” They finish the year with the Portuguese electronic music platform’s Talent Award 2021: 100 percent DJ. The award is granted for the musicians’ contributions to electronic music as well as for carrying their country’s flag around the world.
2022 will be a year of international confirmation for Portuguese producers, with the debut of their Live Set in Brazil, Mexico, and a number of other countries. Mayze X Faria promises to demonstrate the stability of sound scenarios traced with the extraordinary mastery that distinguishes them to all electronic music fans.
