Over the past few years, social media has evolved nonstop. With an endless stream of information, people are finding it harder to separate what’s real from what’s fake. Thankfully, more and more are waking up to this. For the German electronic duo Tube & Berger, it’s no different.
Last Thursday (July 10), they dropped their new single “No Phones” with a powerful message. As the title hints, it tackles one of the biggest issues in the electronic dance music scene today.
Instead of living in the moment, club-goers are busy filming DJ sets on their phones. Back in the day, when you hit the club in the evening and stayed until morning, no one cared about the time — it was all about the music and the vibe.
Now, exciting times lie ahead as Tube & Berger promise to take us back to those raw, real moments when only good music, feelings, and emotions mattered.
The duo behind the iconic Tech House track “Imprint Of Pleasure” says, “‘No Phones’” is a protest — a rebellion against screen time when you’re supposed to vibe. We made this track because we’re tired of watching something magical fade away on the dancefloor — real connection.”
Speaking about the single, “No Phones” is infectious, with a marching bassline, a strong beat, and catchy vocals that demand movement.
If you’re fed up with phones taking over the dancefloor, join Tube & Berger this Sunday (July 20) at Germany’s Parookaville festival.
