Sol Selectas, the innovative record label spearheaded by Sabo, proudly presents a mystical and organic house EP crafted by the talented Jean Vayat.

This enchanting collection also includes a captivating remix from the skilled Emrat, adding a unique dimension to the release. Jean Vayat, a Ukrainian artist in Los Angeles, brings his nomadic musical style to the forefront, blending sun-drenched melodies with uplifting synths and flowing percussion. This EP marks his first solo release on Sol Selectas after his significant contributions to five of the label’s compilations, cementing his status as a core member of their artist family. His impressive portfolio also includes features on esteemed imprints such as Go Deeva Records, Harabe, Baikal Nomads, and Shango Records.

The remix duties for this EP are masterfully handled by Emrat, another talented Ukrainian artist hailing from Kyiv. Making his debut on Sol Selectas, Emrat has previously showcased his unique style through tracks and remixes on respected labels like kośa, Hoomidaas, and MONADA. His sound is a mesmerizing blend of Arabic-influenced melodies and traditional instruments, seamlessly intertwined with enchanting electronic elements. This fusion creates a rich and textured sonic experience that perfectly complements Jean Vayat’s original compositions, adding an atmospheric and majestic touch to the EP.

The EP’s journey begins with the title track ‘Changes,’ where acid bass stabs and a pulsating arpeggio synth lay the foundation for the intricate layers of Arabic strings and haunting vocals by Mohsen Neshom. Following this, ‘Good Morning‘ takes listeners on a psychedelic adventure with spiraling synths, trippy vocal textures, and a warped flute that enhances the track’s hallucinatory vibe. The third original track, ‘Trayam Bagam,’ is a percussive masterpiece featuring cinematic vocal chants that elevate its epic sound. Emrat’s remix of “Trayam Bagam” concludes the release with a more atmospheric version, stripping back the percussion and adding additional synths to create a majestic rendition. The EP’s cover art by Helia Jamali invites listeners to journey through a portal into a parallel universe of constant changes, perfectly encapsulating the transformative nature of this musical experience.
