Following a massive 2022 which saw releases on three of Lee Burridge’s labels – All Day I Dream, TRYBESof and Tale & Tone – Jim Rider continues to build momentum, releasing his Two More Days EP.

‘Two More Days’ by Jim Rider is a protracted voyage through many soundscapes that was inspired by a two-day train trip across the United States. Dreamy synth notes, arpeggios, and a wide range of percussion are all present in the song—sounds that have been trademarks of Jim’s DJ performances over the previous year. Jim’s ability to manipulate synths while also staying loyal to his organic roots with a percussive base of cowbells, congas, and tambourines inject excitement throughout the eight-minute piece ensuring that there is never a dull moment. The closing phrase of ‘Two More Days’ which is rougher, more aggressive, and driven by an unfiltered bass line, is a fantastic counterpoint to the mystical and calming vibe of the synths and ambient vocals throughout the song. ‘Two More Days’ is by far Jim’s most frequently requested ID to date, which is not surprising.

‘Hairy Mary’s Apothecary’ another excellent track from the EP, portrays the story of a young girl who is entirely covered head to toe in hair until a mythical fairy saves the day. Jim Rider shows off his extraordinary talent by fusing ethereal synths with natural and ethnic soundscapes. A spectacular comeback to the label is completed by this imaginative, upbeat, musical jewel. Jim’s mellow synthesizers and ethereal arps are so strong and memorable throughout the EP that they paradoxically make you feel out of time—a very amazing feeling.

On April 23, Jim will be performing in Dubai as part of the All Day I Dream 2023 globe tour alongside Lee Burridge, Lost Desert, and Amonita to celebrate the release of the EP.
