Consistency and patience are two of the most essential qualities in the ever-evolving world of electronic dance music. Turkish artist LOKMAN has never given up. Since 2007, he’s been actively producing music while also engaging as an activist.
He’s traveled through Thailand, Cambodia, Tulum, Malaysia, the UK, and New York, drawing inspiration from each place and weaving those cultural influences into his sound. His constant evolution and dedication have earned him appearances alongside some of the world’s biggest names — David Guetta, Damian Lazarus, Purple Disco Machine, Claptone, and many more.
Now, he’s preparing for what may be the most important release of his career. The upcoming album explores humanitarian themes, cultural roots, and personal growth, while also highlighting Turkish and Middle Eastern avant-garde voices.
His previous release, Mesopotamian Kids NYC 23 (2023), was a benefit EP created in response to the devastating Turkey earthquakes, turning grief into artistic action.
Today, Lokman will perform at AVVA New York, the same collective that inspired his new album and continues to spotlight Turkish and Middle Eastern voices in the global avant-garde scene.
