Following the remarkable international success of his two-part Lev EP together with Tim Engelhardt back in September, Lisbon-based producer and Scenarios co-founder Maga now looks to continue his prolific run of studio output into the fourth quarter of the year, with the announcement of his latest collaborative single, Sleepless.
Out now via Scenarios, Sleepless sees Maga team up with label mates and co-founders Emanuel Satie and Sean Doron for the imprint’s seventh and final offering of 2023, following the widely lauded releases of Lev EP, Rise EP, Resilience, All The Time, Flores and Side By Side.
Already road-tested to immaculate reception at this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event, Sleepless is a beautifully refined house cut that ebbs and flows between organic instrumentation and precise synth-work, creating an ethereal soundscape of elements that oozes peak-time dancefloor charm.
Built with ‘the journey’ in mind, Maga, Sean and Emanuel’s latest offering showcases constant evolution of Scenarios within its component members, weaving effortlessly between melody and tone to encapsulate the listener from the off. Remaining true to the collective’s trademark sound, the record is a texture-rich fusion of dynamic percussion, rolling groove and an unmistakable piano-led breakdown, all of which are brought together alongside the tribal stamp and water tight production values for which Scenarios has become so loved.
Established in April 2022 as an all-encompassing artist collective, label and events brand, Scenarios has taken the electronic music world by storm over the past eighteen months with their intelligent, exquisitely crafted productions and instantly recognisable sound.
