Aix-en-Provence-based DJ and producer MALIKK and Marseille-born duo Chicks Luv Us release a combined EP ‘Can We Dance’, which is out now on Hot Creations.
The producers collaborate to create a club-driven chunker with chopped-up vocal samples and a squishy bassline on the title track. On the B-side, Chicks Luv Us drop a Balearic-flavoured banger with ‘Makelene‘. High-pitched vocals pulsate throughout the track, accompanied by massive kickdrums and playful sound FX. MALIKK closes ‘Walkie Talkie‘ with a quirky track packed with punchy drums, bleepy percussion, and techy vocals—perfectly aligned with Hot Creations‘ colorful aesthetic.
Wanted to produce a track inspired by acid house music, pop and urban pop from the 90s, mixing with sound from today.
