The powerful two-track EP ‘December Reverie’ marks the sophomore outing of MANTi on the highly regarded Mexican label, Akumandra.

The LA-based producer MANTi returns to Akumandra with her second EP, ‘December Reverie‘. After a string of releases on Marginalia, Borders of Light, LSF21+, Einmusika, New Tab, and Sequence Music, MANTi returns to the CDMX-based label. Thus, now with a diversity of production, taking listeners on a mind-altering journey through consciousness.

MANTi, a Tehran-based DJ and producer, has a unique sound influenced by Music Production & Sound Design at Point Blank Los Angeles. Her music is characterized by deep, melodic, and atmospheric compositions through resonant baselines and vibrant synths. The DJ has also shared the decks with industry giants like Cirez D, Adriatique, Mathame, and Woo York. Moreover, AKUMANDRA serves as a projection space for artists to showcase their works in moderate musical time. This allows them to create original musical creations from a positioned observation perspective. Helping MANTi and many other artists in their musical journey.

The EP starts with ‘No Turning Back’, a hypnotic and melodically dissonant track from the in-form producer, showcasing her talents for creating impactful electronic music. In contrast, the title and closer track, ‘December Reverie’, takes a more gloomy turn. In it, MANTi showcases her talent for commanding, peak-time melodic techno, blending sinister soundscapes and deep basslines. This interesting and atmospheric EP marks MANTi’s first full-length project on Akumandra. ‘December Reverie’ is out now via Akumandra, so check it out!
