With a plethora of releases this year, Los Angeles–based, Iranian-born producer and DJ MANTi returns with the four-track Numa EP. Released on Kater Blau’s Kiosk I.D, the EP showcases her meticulously crafted sound design and melodic depth.
It’s been a year since MANTi’s debut on Kiosk I.D with the Eureka EP, and this time she returns stronger than ever.
Opening the EP, the title track features organic samples, analog warmth, a rolling bassline, and lush synths. The single weaves through busy sound layers and textured white-noise drums.
“Shade” kicks off with a deep, rhythmic groove—shuffling hi-hats, a snarling bassline, and stabs of guitar-pluck textures. It later unfolds into a layered saw synth with open filters and a touch of crisp piano.
“Halo” introduces a thumping kick drum, sharp cymbals, pitch-bending synths, chopped piano chords, and spaced-out vocal effects orbiting a steadily floating tone.
“Ashes” closes the EP with shimmering tones, cavernous synth impacts, and a morphing, soothing bassline. It unfolds as a slow-burning roller, rich in contrast—warm and spacious, drum-driven, and drenched in atmosphere.
Without a doubt, Numa stands out with its striking blend of immersive sound design and infectious grooves.
