The unstoppable creative force that propels Mark Reeve, one of the most diligent musicians working today, seems to have no end. Reeve has a lengthy history of critically lauded releases on Drumcode, the most recent of which being his massive mini-album Breathe back in 2021. Now, with the beautiful seven-minute masterwork New Age, Reeve makes his much-awaited debut on Tale of Us’ Afterlife Records.

Another pivotal phase in Reeve’s career is when he switches from driving, peak-time techno to a more subtle, melodic sound palette. The sublime piece of energetic, forward-thinking dance music that Mark creates in ‘New Age‘ serves as a powerful example of his never-ending innovation as one of the most active producers of electronic music today.

Anybody who has been to one of my recent gigs will have heard this record and I’m so happy to finally be giving it a home on Afterlife. Tale of Us have been road testing lots of my new music lately, so for me this is definitely something special; opening up new directions and new paths to discover. Trust the wait, embrace the uncertainty and enjoy the beauty of becoming. When nothing is certain, everything is possible.
