American producer Mario Pedron, better known as MarMar is back with his latest single, “Sobers Me.” Following last year’s collaboration with UK artist producer.dg, he returns with a smooth, groove-driven track.
The single opens with a warm chord melody, blending seamlessly with a house beat. While the production remains minimal, “Sobers Me” has a way of pulling you in—getting you to move while also making you pause and reflect.
Chopped vocals layer in to create an engaging listening experience, and beyond the production, there’s meaning behind the song. “‘Sobers Me’ is a song written about the pitfalls of loving blindly. It’s about looking back with clear vision on where things went wrong and how it takes time to get back to normal life after heartbreak.”
“I really felt the vocalist had something special to say about relationships and how tough it can be to recover from heartbreak. Definitely been there before,” he adds.
His previous releases include tracks on San Holo’s imprint bitbird, as well as Seeking Blue and Mammal Sounds.
Next up, MarMar will make his DJ debut at N7 London on March 22, where he’ll play a special back-to-back set with UK producer Sam Day.
When asked about his plans, Mar shares, “My future plans are to keep releasing music over the springtime and to play my first show at N7 in London next month!”
