French DJ, producer, and Monumental Tour founder Michael Canitrot marked the grand reopening of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris with a mesmerizing performance that blended music and visuals.
Broadcast to millions on French TV, Canitrot’s show celebrated the cathedral’s stunning architecture while sharing a message of hope, unity, and inspiration with audiences worldwide.
A passionate advocate for cultural heritage and French electronic music, Canitrot crafted a unique experience by integrating elements from Notre-Dame itself. He drew inspiration from the iconic bells, intricate artworks, the Maîtrise Notre-Dame choir, and the classical design of the cathedral. “I want to convey a universal message so that everyone can connect with my music and feel inspired to say,” Canitrot shared, “and inspire people to say, ‘I want to come back and visit Notre-Dame..'”
This performance is part of Canitrot’s Monumental Tour, a project combining electronic music, digital art, and light design to showcase cultural landmarks. From Mont-Saint-Michel and the Eiffel Tower to the Basilica del Pilar in Zaragoza, where 45,000 fans gathered, his breathtaking events have reached tens of millions of viewers online and in person.
