Celebrating their first release of the year—but not necessarily their boldest—the Australian duo Midnight Pool Party returns with a new disco-inspired single, “FIDELITY.” Following their December 2024 release, “Boys Like You,” the duo is inviting fans to welcome the summer season with their signature blend of dance and soul.
The single draws inspiration from real-life challenges and the complexities of adult relationships.
“This song is about infidelity and temptation. Specifically, it’s about going through the emotions of being tempted by someone else while already in a relationship, and feeling like you’re too deep into a situation where no matter what you do, or who you choose, you’ll lose—and everyone gets hurt,” explains one half of the duo, Darren.
“Life, love, and the challenges you face along the way with relationships are really complex, and I really wanted to convey that in this song,” the duo continues.
“FIDELITY” opens with a groovy, funk-infused bassline, a pounding kick drum, crisp snares, and mesmerizing chords, all topped off with contagious vocals. Whether you’re a casual listener or a party-goer, this single is the perfect addition to your playlist.
