Turn your November into Movember with this dazzling news. Brooklyn-based underground producer and DJ Mink just dropped his new Catcuta EP today under his label, Love on Cropsey. This EP marks Mink’s ninth release, solidifying his musical endeavour in New York City’s techno and house scene. The EP offers a new cultural element and experience that differs from Mink’s previous releases, such as ‘Can Sucia‘.

This fresh 10-minute EP consists of two tracks with groovy mixes, each lasting 5 minutes. Harmoniously combining Arabic elements like his vocals and percussions, it nods to Mink’s Egyptian heritage. Vocals, percussions, and smooth mixes shine in the intimate first track, ‘Catcuta (Ya Habibi).’ On the B-side, ‘Want it Bad‘ reveals more urban twists and an upbeat tempo, with occasional vocals in Arabic. Hypnotizing basslines accentuate the woozy feeling in both tracks.

Mink has been a pillar of Brooklyn’s techno and house scene since his teenage years, and his magical performances are equally beloved in Ibiza. Major festivals from both places, like Circoloco, have never gone without him. In NYC, Mink has played at Teksupport and Resolute, while in Ibiza, he’s performed at Music On Daytime and Rumors. On underground lineups, you’ll find Mink alongside names like Shonky, Mita Gami, Dennis Ferrer, and more as part of his signature Kiss & Tell event series. He recently released an EP as a preview of his upcoming performances. Future events include Time Warp in New York City, Circoloco during Art Basel, and, occasionally, a stage at Miami’s legendary Club Space.
