Today, the Lisbon duo MXGPU delivers new single “Slow Down,” via Portugal’s Discotexas. The duo, formed in 2021, brings together Moullinex (Luis Clara Gomes) and Guilherme Tomé Ribeiro, known as GPU Panic.

Their collaboration began when Moullinex invited GPU Panic to join his band, leading to a partnership that pushed both artists beyond their comfort zones. “There’s a pause, and time stands still. Your focus peaks, you can hear your own heart beating,” the duo says of the new single.

“Slow Down” is part of MXGPU’s forthcoming album Sudden Light, out September 26, a record they describe as “light breaking through the dawn and the world suddenly exhaling.”

Tomorrow (Aug. 16), MXGPU performs at Singapore’s Somewhere Out There Festival alongside Bonobo, Rimon, Balming Tiger, and local acts YAØ, Bongomann, and Zig Zach.

Their 2025 tour continues with summer dates across Portugal — including Lisbon, Porto, and Guimarães — before their first-ever U.S. shows in October, with stops in Brooklyn and Los Angeles.
