Berlin-based producer and DJ Oliver Koletzki has released his new single “I Don’t Need Your Love,” taken from his forthcoming album 12, due out April 10. The track arrived last Friday, Jan. 30, via his long-running label Stil Vor Talent, following his previous collaboration with Frida Darko, “Trip With Me.”

Koletzki first broke through in 2005 with his debut single “Der Mückenschwarm,” released on Cocoon Recordings, the imprint founded by Sven Väth. Shortly after, he launched Stil Vor Talent, which has since surpassed 415 releases, cementing Koletzki’s status as one of the most influential figures in contemporary dance music.

“I Don’t Need Your Love” reflects Koletzki’s renewed connection with tech house. “I’ve also rediscovered my old love for tech house, which is why I produced I Don’t Need Your Love in a more tech house style, with louder, off-high, driving bass lines and, as with I Don’t Need Your Love, catchy vocals,” he said.

The upcoming album 12 marks Koletzki’s twelfth studio full-length and carries special significance. Designed with a stronger club focus, the record will primarily showcase solo material, featuring just two collaborations with Frida Darko — the already released “Trip With Me” and another track yet to be announced.

“This is already my twelfth album in two decades, and it has twelve tracks, which is why the number twelve is so important,” he said.

Koletzki also shared a broader reflection on his creative philosophy:

“Do what you love and feel and don’t care so much about what others say. You are mainly doing music for yourself, not for them.”
